General Asim Munir, the chief of army staff (COAS), stated on Wednesday that the Pakistan Army had all the tools necessary to “thwart [the] nefarious designs of its adversaries.”
The COAS was cited as saying in a press release from Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR): “Pakistan Army was alive to the existing and emerging challenges and possessed the wherewithal to thwart nefarious designs of its adversaries through the entire gamut of threat.”
As he observed “live fire and manoeuvres of the advanced VT-4 tanks, shoot and scoot capabilities of long-range SH-15 artillery guns and innovative equipment display” at the Tilla Field firing ranges near Jhelum, he made these observations.

The Strike Corps soldiers’ “high degree of professionalism, battle worthiness, and offensive spirit” were noted by him.
According to the ISPR, the COAS also praised the crews’ fighting prowess and command of cutting-edge weaponry.
Days prior, Gen. Munir made the assertion that “Afghan nationals” were “detrimental to regional peace [and] stability” due to their “involvement” in terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
